Rectangles in Art - Room III

Using rectangles in art can be a powerful way for the artist to create a striking emotional reaction with the viewer and the surreal aspect can add the unexpected. This painting  is an example in pure watercolour, used cleanly and with a small amount of water it gives the painting a vibrancy like no other. The rectangles are limited so that the sense of emptiness is emphasised.
