Muted Minimal Art - Discovery

Original abstract art like this piece has the ability to engage your interest without disturbance. It is calming and enigmatic with a hint of something to imagine. The colours are very close in terms of  value and hue, the shapes are a discovery - you take a journey of discovery-hence the title.

It is not easy to create muted minimal art, you cannot command the paint to do exactly what you envisage, you have to follow its lead in some ways until you get what you want. Likewise for the shapes, they come and go as you paint until a most interesting collection of shapes appears - leave them alone, perhaps enhance them some with some colour but that is all, that is (as this painting is called) Discovery.
