This abstract male painting is one of a series that is painted in a minimal way. Only the background is painted apart from the face on the abstracted figure.

Impact is created by the stark whites offset by the blended colour background.  I tried to make sure I stopped painting once I had nothing more to say and this gives the painting a minimal style and a feeling that is determined by the viewer- they fill in the blanks in their own way. An abstract male painting as opposed to a realistic one facilitates and prompts the viewer's imagination.
